Community Champions

Voluntary Action Leeds coordinates the Community Champion project, working alongside Public Health and NHS.

Community Champions share key vaccine messages with friends, family, neighbours and local community. This could be via social media or face to face conversations at events to help keep people well, safe and make informed choices about their wellbeing. The focus is on the lifespan of vaccines from babies through to teens, to adults and old people).

There is a wide range of support available linked to this opportunity:

• Access to the training you need to have effective conversations 

• Sessions with other Community Champions to share experiences and learning

• Sharing health messages with communities in different ways
