Musical Connections

Musical Connections empowers people to lead happier, healthier lives through participation in community music activities. Based in York, we run 9 weekly music groups and choirs in a diverse range of venues across York, such as GP surgeries, sheltered accommodation and community centres and deliver a large programme of intergenerational events activities involving local children and students. Everyone is welcome, and we are particularly keen to include vulnerable and older people who may be at risk of social isolation. Our volunteers enhance the experience of those coming to the groups, by offering transport, support and friendship, or contributing to the other aspects of the charity - fundraising, photography, accounts - we have a whole host of needs!
