Organisation; Pawsitive Action Leeds CIC
Role; Fundraising Officer Volunteer
Hours; Flexible (to be agreed based on your schedule)
What you will be doing
We are a small, new CIC and our growth depends on gaining funding. As Fundraising Officer you will research possible funding for projects such as providing subsidised classes, awareness talks, research and taking on staff - you never know, you may even fund your own role! You will need to advise us on what to apply for, the rules and regulations and write persuasive funding bids. If a grant is given you will also need to be involved in writing post activity reports for funders.
Who are we?
Pawsitive Action Leeds CIC is a dog training company with a difference. Our aim is to make assistance dogs and pets accessible to everyone by offering adaptable training to owners, sharing specialist knowledge and raising awareness. We are currently small and new but our long term goals include opening a daycare with subsided places for disabled owners, offering qualifications in animal care to disabled people and campaigning nationally for more awareness on issues surrounding assistance dogs.
Who are you?
You are someone who is a confident researcher and writer who loves dogs as much as we do! You do not have to have experience working or volunteering in a fundraising role (but if you do tell us about it!) so long as you can demonstrate an understanding of how you will find and apply for funding and show your ability to write engaging bids. If you do not have experience but we think you are a good fit we will fund you attending training on writing bids.
So, want to come aboard and help shape our future? Well, we don't believe in complicated forms or strenuous interviews so just fill in your details and we will arrange a chat.
