ESOL Tutor / Teacher

Our class currently runs once a week for 1 hour (10am - 11am) every Monday in Term Time at Swinnow Community Centre LS13 4RF.

We are ideally looking for someone from a migrant background, who has lived experience of coming and learning / developing their English in the UK. You don't need any formal teaching qualifications. Experience teaching ESOL or supporting second language learners is useful not not obligatory.

In the first instance, I'm looking for a teaching assistant to support the classes and teach small segments where they feel comfortable. Eventually this person will take on a class themselves.

We run an ESOL class model whereby parents can bring their children along to play, so while we do have playworkers in the room, the teacher must be open to the occasional interruption from little ones.
